Entering Tongkun: Learning about Innovative Development

On April 22, 2025, Xing Chenrui from Anhui Yiying led department staff to visit Jiangsu Tongkun Hengyang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. The team experienced up close the strong strength and innovative vitality of this leading industry enterprise, deeply exploring the code for the high-quality development of the textile industry.

Stepping into Tongkun Hengyang, the vast factory campus and busy yet orderly production scene were awe-inspiring, vividly showcasing what is known as "Tongkun Speed" and "Tongkun Strength." From its 2020 signing to the successive commissioning of multiple sub-projects today, every detail reflects the enterprise’s efficient execution and innovative development philosophy. As a major provincial industrial project, its modern production lines, with a total investment of 15 billion yuan, are operating at high efficiency.

With a total investment of 15 billion yuan and under the umbrella of Tongkun Group Co., Ltd., this project is also the single largest project publicly announced by a listed company in the city on the stock exchange. It achieved an annual output value of 5.9 billion yuan in its first year of operation, setting a national record as the first project to go into production and generate revenue in the same year. Sub-projects such as the utility infrastructure and a 50,000-square-meter workshop were completed in just one month, with key sub-projects like the thermal power unit No. 1 commissioned on January 29, followed by others in May, July, and September.

The visiting team first arrived at the production workshop, where intelligent textile equipment systematically transformed raw materials into finished products. Automated conveying systems and precise quality inspection instruments highlighted the enterprise’s technological sophistication. In production areas for polyester, texturing, and weaving, technicians detailed the advanced processes of the full industrial chain—"from a drop of oil to a bolt of cloth." Behind their 18% global market share in polyester filament products lies an unremitting pursuit of technological R&D and quality control.

Stepping into the site of the Suqian Tongkun Hongyang Printing and Dyeing sub-project, team members were immediately struck by the scene: sets of advanced environmentally friendly production processes operated in an orderly manner, with every step strictly adhering to green standards. No detail that might affect the environment was overlooked, providing an excellent model for the sustainable development of the textile industry and setting a benchmark for the industry’s green transformation.

            

This visit not only broadened the team’s horizons but also deepened their understanding of the importance of technology empowerment and green transformation for enterprise development.
